Mike had always dreamed of being a helicopter pilot, until he saw the hours needed to actually fly. So he turned to business but he never kept his eyes off the horizon. When he found out about Google Ads in the early 2000’s he knew this was the answer to what businesses were crying out for. He dove in deep, mastered paid search and started WebSavvy – the rest is history.
My hero is my grandpa. He taught me discipline, hard work & humility. Despite not finishing primary school and only starting to learn English in his 30s, he managed to build a successful business. He would always be at the dining table solving problems (no such thing as manuals back then) and finding ways to do things better. His legacy is my reminder to stay hungry and keep on going.
Vic is one of those people that loves a good staycation, happy to be surrounded by family and friends. When summer hits she’s always relaxed. Vic has been working with Google Ads for years and heads up the whole department, keeping the team happy. Unless they call her “Vicky”, then things get ugly.
My hero is my Mother, having to raise me and my sister as a single parent (and we weren’t the best kids at times!) on a single income and putting us through one of the best schools in Launceston. She worked her backside off for us up until we moved out of home. Her hard work and dedication to her kids are things I’ve always admired and looked up to.
Caitlin is kind, down-to-earth and VERY WILLING TO BEAT YOU AT ANY BOARD GAME EVER. Remember this if she ever invites you to play Settlers of Catan. Caitlin brings her winning spirit and competitive edge to our Google Ads team.
If Steph Curry ever needs a place to stay when he visits Australia, Calvin will be more than happy to help him out. When he’s not buying NBA gear Calvin is helping WebSavvy clients grow their business. Or sleeping. There are few things Calvin appreciates more than his bed.
Not only is Fatima an expert Google Ads strategist, she can also speak and read 5 different languages. No big deal. She’s our resident automation lead and the nicest person in the office.
Crystal loves dogs and really wants to get another friend for her dog Giles (named after Rupert Giles from Buffy, of course) but apparently he’s a bit grumpy and won’t play nice with others. Unlike Giles however, Crystal is an awesome team player and will be very happy to help you on any Google Ads questions you have!
James loves hip hop and if he wasn’t helping clients generate sales and leads he’d be spitting rhymes on the mic. Mostly those rhymes would be about that time he was attacked by a swan… and the swan won.
Charlene always wanted to be a doctor, but luckily for WebSavvy she chose computers instead. It’s no coincidence however that our client’s websites are always in a much healthier way after she’s looked after them. Charlene is our expert in automation and all things tech.
My hero is Madison De Rozario, she is a three-time Paralympian before the age of 24. Even though she proclaims not to be competitive in nature, her sheer determination, courage, and desire to succeed are relentless. She is the epitome of the saying “if there is a will, there’s a way.”
Nick is obsessed with sports and comics, so never happier than when the Crows are kicking goals, or superheros are saving the day. Nick shares his love of coffee with Trevor, both making sure the WebSavvy Facebook team is happy and caffeinated.
Georgia came to WebSavvy by a series of fortunate events and is now our graphic design guru and true-crime podcast devotee. Georgia is at home in the snow and if she wasn’t in digital marketing she’d probably be a professional snowboarder.
Aden loves exploring the potential of the mind-body-nature connection and once climbed the highest mountain in Czech/Poland with world record holder Wim ‘Iceman’ Hof (in-37 °C and only wearing a pair of shorts!)! Aden received the prestigious Brave Penguin Award at the 2019 Google Performance Honours Awards for his industry-best ability to problem solve for our clients.
Trevor has come a long way from growing up on a guest ranch in Canada. Who’d have thought leading horseback rides and watching out for bears would prepare someone for a career in marketing? Well that plus brief stints working in Japan, radio stations and Outback Australia. Now he heads up the Facebook department spending time working on customer acquisition strategies.
Campbell is a huge admirer of Bob Geldof and anyone that can make the world a better place. Campbell is often found promoting & encouraging a greener lifestyle. In fact he pretty much loves anything green, like broccoli, but he despises things pretending to be green, like cauliflower – wrapped in green but a much different colour at its core.
Eimear moved to Melbourne from Kildare in Ireland, and not content with moving hemispheres she keeps the office in line and accounts on track. She also has a lot of clothing with Disney princesses, but we don’t judge. There are lots of reasons why we love Eimear (and not just because she gives us snacks).
